As a retired Navy veteran, my service took me around the world. The catchphrase “Join the Navy, it’s an ADVENTURE!” inspired my enlistment, and indeed, the experience fully delivered on that promise. Initially, I served on the USS John F. Kennedy aircraft carrier, deployed to the Mediterranean, where we visited Spain, France, Italy, Greece, and Egypt. Seeking a meaningful role, I became a Naval Aircrewman/Rescue Swimmer with a Helicopter Squadron on an Aircraft Carrier. My duties included participating in the successful rescues of a downed helicopter crew and, years later, a crew from a sinking shrimp boat. I committed hundreds of hours to vigilance and readiness for such missions until retirement. My career also led me to Misawa, Japan, and my final station was on an Aircraft Carrier in the Persian Gulf, which was the first to aid “Operation Restore Hope” in Mogadishu, Somalia. Following that, we made stops in Perth and Sydney, Australia.
I really think they make a difference. I when out and bought a pair just for fishing wish I would’ve bought them from you’s
